Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy sets out the types of information collected, used and safeguarded by Outguess AI ("the App") when used on your iOS device.

In short: the AI model that powers this app runs entirely on your device. Nothing you type in Free Play, and no data about how you play Daily Challenge, is ever uploaded anywhere. There is no account, no server, and no third party involved in either game mode.

1. Daily Challenge

Daily Challenge's five multiple-choice questions each day are drawn from a fixed set of predictions computed once in advance and bundled inside the App itself. Playing Daily Challenge involves no live AI processing and no network activity of any kind - your guesses, score, and streak are stored solely on your device using local storage.

2. Free Play

Free Play runs a real, genuine language model (a small open-source model called DistilBERT) directly on your device to predict what you type. Whatever sentence you enter is processed entirely on-device - it is never sent to us, to the model's original publisher, or to any other server. Closing the App or deleting a sentence removes it completely; nothing is retained beyond your own device's local storage.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

Outguess AI is free to use for Daily Challenge, supported by third-party advertising, with an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock Free Play. To provide these services, we use standard industry software development kits (SDKs) which may collect certain device-level information:

Technical data: your device model, operating system version, and system language, used to serve contextual (non-personalised) advertising. The App does not request permission to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).
App data: your streak, score history, and Free Play unlock status are stored solely and persistently on your own device using local storage - never uploaded to us or to any server.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

Google AdMob We use the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner and interstitial adverts. The App does not request tracking permission, so adverts are contextual rather than personalised to you individually. AdMob never receives anything you type or any game data. App Store Billing The one-time "Unlock Free Play" purchase (£2.99) is handled securely through Apple's App Store. We never collect, process or store your card details or payment credentials.

5. Your Rights & Choices

You can restrict advertising tracking, or opt out of personalised ads entirely, from your device settings via Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data, including your streak history and any cached model files, along with it.

6. Children's Privacy

Outguess AI does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children.
