Daily Digital Declutter

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy sets out the types of information collected, used and safeguarded by Daily Digital Declutter ("the App") when used on your iOS device.

1. Your Photos & Videos Library

Daily Digital Declutter's entire purpose is to help you review and delete your own photos and videos, so the App requests access to your device's Photos library (via Apple's PHPhotoLibrary framework) the first time you open it. If you decline, the App cannot function.

• What we read: your photo and video assets, their creation dates, pixel dimensions/duration, and thumbnail images, in order to build your daily batch of up to 50 items and generate the cards you swipe through.
• What we delete: only items you explicitly swipe left and then confirm in the single native "Delete N Photos?" prompt shown by iOS itself before anything is removed. Nothing is ever deleted automatically or without that confirmation.
• What never leaves your device: your photos, video files, thumbnails, and any metadata about them. There is no server behind this App — everything above happens entirely on your phone.

2. On-Device Search & Classification

The search bar lets you type a term (like "dogs", "beach", "documents", or "duplicates") to find matching photos. This is powered entirely by Apple's on-device Vision framework — image classification happens locally on your phone's processor. No photo, thumbnail, or search term is ever sent to us or to any third party. Classification results are cached in a file inside the App's own local storage on your device (never synced anywhere) purely so repeat searches don't have to re-analyse the same photo twice.

When your device is charging, the App may also do this classification work quietly in the background (via iOS's BGProcessingTask API) so search results are ready faster the next time you use it. That same overnight pass can also pre-fetch full-resolution copies of photos likely to appear in tomorrow's daily batch from your own iCloud Photos account (the same download Photos.app would do), so cards open faster. This background work only runs while charging, specifically to avoid draining your battery. Classification itself stays on-device; the only network activity is fetching your own photo data from your own iCloud account when a full-resolution copy isn't already cached locally. No photo data is sent to us or to any other third party.

3. Local Notifications

If you grant permission, the App may schedule a single local reminder notification (e.g. "Don't lose your streak!") using Apple's on-device notification scheduler. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device — no push notification server is involved, and no data about you is sent anywhere to make this happen.

4. Information We Collect Automatically

Daily Digital Declutter is free to use, supported by third-party advertising and optional in-app purchases. To provide these services, we use standard industry software development kits (SDKs) which may collect certain device-level information:

• Technical data: your device model, operating system version, and system language, used to serve contextual (non-personalised) advertising. The App does not request permission to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA).
• App data: your daily streak, Streak Freezes, total items cleared, and reclaimed storage total are stored solely and persistently on your own device using local storage — never uploaded to us or to any server.

5. Third-Party Services We Use

The App integrates the following third-party services, each with its own independent privacy policy:

• Google AdMob We use the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded video adverts. The App does not request tracking permission, so adverts are contextual rather than personalised to you individually. AdMob never receives your photos, search terms, or anything about your Photos library. You can read Google's policy here: Google Privacy Policy.
• App Store Billing In-app purchases ("Remove Ads Lifetime", "Unlimited Pass", and "Buy More Goes") are handled securely through Apple's App Store. We never collect, process or store your card details or payment credentials.

6. How We Use Collected Data

Any device data gathered automatically is used solely to:

• Serve relevant banner, interstitial, and rewarded video (used only when you choose to watch one for an extra batch) advertising.
• Understand aggregate, anonymised usage so we can improve the App's balance, features and design.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You can revoke the App's access to your Photos library at any time via Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Daily Digital Declutter. The App will simply stop working until access is granted again, since it has no fallback content of its own.

8. Children's Privacy

Daily Digital Declutter does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children. If you believe your data has been processed incorrectly, please contact us straight away using the details below.
