Welcome to the Ante support hub. If a group won't join, a stake seems stuck, or a purchase didn't unlock, we're happy to help.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Ante actually charge my card for the stake amount?
No. Ante never processes or moves real money at all - the stake amount is only used to calculate the balance between you and your group. You and your friends pay each other however you normally would (bank transfer, PayPal, cash), entirely outside the app.
How do I join a friend's group?
Ask them for their 6-character invite code (or the shared link), then tap "Join with Code" on the groups screen.
Can other people see my prediction before the deadline?
No - predictions stay hidden from every other group member until the deadline passes, the same way a real prediction pool works.
What happens after the deadline?
The person who created the stake declares what actually happened. A 24-hour objection window follows - if anyone in the group disputes it, the creator needs to redeclare. If nobody disputes, any group member can finalize it once the window's passed, and the balances update automatically.
What if nobody predicted correctly?
Everyone's stake is simply refunded (net zero) - there's no one to award the pot to, so nothing changes hands.
How does "Mark as Paid" work?
It's an honour-system record - once you've actually paid someone outside the app, marking it as paid updates the balance so the group ledger reflects reality. Ante has no way to verify a payment really happened, by design (it never touches money).
What does Ante Pro unlock?
Unlimited groups and stakes (the free plan is capped at 1 group and 5 new stakes a month), evidence attachments on resolved stakes, and full history - no ads either way, since Ante doesn't run ads at all.
How do I restore my Pro subscription?
Open the Pro screen and tap "Restore Purchases". As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID used to subscribe, it restores instantly.
