Effective date: August 2026
Ante lets private friend groups create predictions on any outcome, track who called it right, and keep a running tally of who owes who. This policy explains what account and group data Ante stores and why.
Creating an account requires either Sign in with Apple or an email address and password, handled by Firebase Authentication (part of Google). Ante stores your display name and, if you set one, a profile photo - visible to other members of groups you join, the same way a name is visible in any group chat.
Groups, stakes (predictions), your own predictions, and running balances are stored in a private cloud database (Google Firebase), visible only to members of that specific group. This includes:
Your predictions on a stake are only ever visible to other members of that same private group, never publicly, and never to anyone outside groups you've joined.
The amount you enter when creating a stake is a number used purely for arithmetic - working out who's owed what if they predicted correctly. It is not a payment, is never charged to any card, and Ante never sees or stores any bank or card details in connection with it.
Leaving a group removes you from its member list, but historical stakes you took part in remain visible to the group you were a member of, the same way a message you sent in a group chat doesn't disappear when you leave it. To request full account deletion, contact us below.
You can leave any group at any time (group owners must delete the group instead, since a v1 group always needs an owner). You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Ante does not knowingly collect information from children, and is not directed at children.
